Brazilian Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) with Wood Maderotherapy Accredited Course: Body/Face Sculpting, Shaping & Contouring Techniques

£850.00

Develop Your Massage Practice with Two Complementary Techniques

Take your massage practice further with our professionally recognised & accredited one-day Wood Therapy (Maderotherapy) and Brazilian Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Face & Body training course (Kit included)

Designed specifically for massage therapists, this specialist 2-in-1 training programme combines traditional hands-on Brazilian lymphatic drainage techniques with the use of specially designed wooden therapy tools.

You will learn how the two approaches can be incorporated into one treatment, while also understanding how the techniques can be adapted to suit individual clients, treatment preferences and your own style of working.

Importantly, the Brazilian MLD techniques taught on this course can be practised independently of the wooden tools. This means you can confidently provide a manual treatment when appropriate, or incorporate the Wood Therapy techniques when you and your client choose to do so.

Whether you are looking to expand your existing treatment menu, introduce a new specialist service or develop your professional skills further, this course provides practical training that can be incorporated into a massage therapy business, spa, salon, hotel or mobile practice.

The training can support therapists who wish to provide treatments within a variety of professional environments, including spas, hotels, salons, sporting & fitness, wellness hubs and mobile practices.

Expert-Led, Practical Training

Your training is delivered by a highly skilled holistic therapist with more than 15 years of professional experience in holistic therapies and treatments.

With extensive hands-on experience within the holistic therapy field, your tutor will provide practical guidance throughout the training day, helping you understand not only how to perform the techniques, but also how to incorporate them confidently into your existing professional practice.

The course is designed to provide a supportive, practical learning environment where you can develop your technique through hands-on training and receive guidance from an experienced practitioner.

Practical, Hands-On Training

This is a practical course, with your tutor guiding you through the techniques and treatment routine during the training day.

You will learn a complete treatment approach incorporating both Brazilian Manual Lymphatic Drainage techniques and Wood Therapy, giving you the flexibility to use the combined routine or adapt your treatment according to the individual client.

The techniques can be modified depending on your preferred way of working. For example, if you or your client would rather have a predominantly manual treatment, the Brazilian MLD techniques can be extended and performed without the wooden implements.

This flexibility allows you to develop a treatment style that works for your practice while still benefiting from the skills covered during the course.

All models will be provided by us on your training day.

Assessment & Certification

There is no written examination and no requirement to complete case studies.

Assessment is practical and takes place during the course. Once you have successfully demonstrated the required practical techniques to your tutor, you will receive your course certificate on the day.

Equipment Provided

There is no need to purchase equipment before attending.

All equipment required for use during the training day is provided, allowing you to concentrate on learning and practising the techniques without having to bring your own Wood Therapy tools.

Wood Therapy Kit Included

To help you put your new skills into practice straight away, a Multi-piece Wood Therapy kit is included as part of your training.

You will be able to take your kit home with you at the end of the course, giving you the opportunity to begin practising and incorporating the techniques into your professional treatments immediately.

Your tutor will also provide guidance on the correct use of the tools during your practical training, helping you feel confident using your kit safely and effectively following completion of the course.

Who Can Attend?

This is an advanced course intended for existing massage therapists.

To attend, you must hold a full-body massage or sports massage qualification that includes basic Anatomy and Physiology.

Your existing qualification may have been completed as a one-day massage course or as a longer programme lasting two, three or more days, including a Level 3 qualification, provided it covers full-body massage and basic Anatomy and Physiology.

What If I Do Not Yet Have a Full-Body Massage Qualification?

If you do not currently hold the required full-body massage qualification, you will need to complete appropriate massage training before attending this course.

We offer a Full Body Massage Accredited Course, which can provide the necessary foundation for progression onto this specialist training.

Age Requirements

The course is available to existing therapists aged 16 and over.

Students under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian make the booking on their behalf.

Please be aware that insurance arrangements can vary for therapists under 18, so anyone under this age should confirm eligibility for appropriate professional insurance before booking.

Small, Supportive Training Groups

To ensure you receive the highest level of individual attention and practical support, we deliberately keep our course groups small.

Smaller groups allow you to spend more time working directly with your tutor, ask questions throughout the training and receive personalised guidance as you practise each technique. This creates a more relaxed and supportive learning environment, while giving you greater opportunity to develop your confidence and refine your practical skills.

Rather than being part of a large class where individual tuition can be limited, our smaller group approach means your tutor can provide hands-on feedback and guidance tailored to your learning needs, helping you get the most from your training day.

Course Locations, Dates & Booking

The course is delivered in person at our Academy in Ware, Hertfordshire. To view upcoming training dates & book your place please click on the button at the top of this page.
